Pianist Tara Kamangar has been described as a "world-class pianist who excels at blending the best of Western and Middle-Eastern compositions" (Gulf News). Praised for her "nimble technique and lustrous phrasing" (San Francisco Chronicle,) her performance credits include such venues as London`s Cadogan Hall, the Palace of Whitehall, New York City`s Skirball Auditorium, San Francisco`s Masonic Auditorium, Oakland`s Paramount Theatre, and LA`s Disney Hall. An avid composer with a background in ethnomusicology, Tara has incorporated Kurdish folk music into her classical compositions. She is an honors graduate of both Harvard University and London`s Royal Academy of Music.
