Arik Livnat is one of the top Israeli saxophone players. Also plays flutes, and shofar. He recorded and performed together with some of the best artists in Israel, and also made an appearance with the American singer Stevie Wonder. He received "America Israel" Foundation grants for jazz music. "ACUM" (Israeli composers organization) Golden Feather award for the year 2000, with his brother, Aviv Livnat, for their original music. They won the British "Millennium Award" for music which they wrote for London West End Theater production. Arik performs and records with his brother, Aviv Livnat (guitar, song, and composition), together they released seven albums. They perform their special original music and contemporary Yiddish jazz music in Israel and abroad. The Livnat Brothers recent concert tours have included England, France, Belgium, U.S.A, Poland, Bulgaria, The Czech Republic, Sweden, and even appeared lately before the US President, Bill Clinton and in a U.N.-organized concert. Arik is Leading his own group and appears very successfully in music series and festivals.
